Frogmore Creek Cuvée Evermore Méthode Traditionnelle Tasmania

A rousing celebration of pinot noir, this blush copper tinted blanc de noirs is fruity, rich and powerful, with layers of white fruit cake, mixed spice, succulent white peach and mirabelle plums. Barrel maturation conspires with bottle age to build layers of nougat, roasted almond and brioche complexity. Lemon zest freshness holds out impressively at six years of age, neatly tempered by well-integrated dosage on a long and focused finish. 2008 is one of my favourite vintages for sparkling in Tasmania and this is an impressive release for Evermore and among the best yet. $33 at Winecave.
