Bisol Crede Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut DOCG
St Hallett winemaker Toby Barlow introduced me to Bisol over dinner the night before we judged the Sydney Wine Show this year. I was taken by the pristine purity of the top cuvée of this impressive estate. Very classy prosecco of elegant red apple fruit, citrus blossom and zest, it’s fine, clean, softly textural and beautifully elegant. I must confess that prosecco has never won the heart of this champagne addict, but if there’s one wine that could convert me, this just might be it. I haven’t been able to find it since, but try The Oak Barrel.
