Bollinger La Grande Année 2012 Launch Dinner 1 April 2020
It’s my great pleasure to invite you to join me for dinner with Champagne Bollinger International Sales Director Guy de Rivoire to launch Bollinger La Grande Année 2012 and Bollinger La Grande Année Rosé 2012.
In the new edition of The Champagne Guide, my lowest score for any of the dozen Bollinger cuvées I’ve rated is 96 points, a record no other house besides Krug can claim.
I’ve also singled out Bollinger as the only house alongside Krug deserving of special mention for maintaining my highest rating of 10/10 in all six revisions of my Guide.
The unleashing of La Grande Année and La Grande Année Rosé from the greatest vintage since 2008 comes with tremendous anticipation. And just in case you missed Bollinger La Grande Année 2008, we’ll be pouring that, too. There is no question it is set to go down as one of the greatest Bollingers of the modern era.
This dinner is also your opportunity to experience Bollinger’s exceedingly rare red wine, Bollinger La Côte aux Enfants Coteaux Champenois Aÿ Rouge 2014.
Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut NV and Bollinger Rosé Brut NV are the two best entry non-vintage cuvées on the shelves this year, and we will be pouring both from magnum.
Guy de Rivoire and I very much look forward to this milestone launch and hope you can join us.
