Spicers Peak Lodge Champagne Weekend – 7-9 March 2025
Celebrating the greatest champagne houses, we welcome you to join us in an exclusive champagne weekend on 7-9 March 2025 at Spicers Peak Lodge.
Hosted by Wine Communicator of the Year, Tyson Stelzer, the weekend is an immersion in three of his favourite champagne houses. The event will feature cuvées from Bollinger, Charles Heidsieck and Louis Roederer. This intimate experience is reserved exclusively for just 26 guests.
You’ll have the chance to sample 27 cuvées across your stay. You’ll enjoy indulgent lunches, cocktail and gala dinners and museum prestige champagne masterclass spanning four decades hosted by Tyson, featuring among others Cristal 2008 en magnum, Blanc des Millénaires Collection Crayères 1996 and Bollinger R.D. 1988, disgorged exclusively for this event.
You’ll also have time to relax in the stunning surrounds of South-East Queensland’s only Luxury Lodge of Australia. Treat yourself to a day spa experience or explore the surrounding World Heritage-listed National Park on foot or mountain bike. The choice is yours.

Arrive at your leisure to be greeted with a glass of champagne Louis Roederer Brut Vintage.
12:00PM – 2:00PM
Casual lunch at The Peak, with champagne, of course!
2:00 – 5:00PM
Spend the afternoon at your leisure. Explore the 8,000-acre property and surrounding World Heritage-listed National Park on foot or mountain bike, or relax at the mountaintop Spa Anise day spa.
5:15PM – LATE
Stroll to the fire pit for pre-dinner drinks to watch the sun set over the Scenic Rim, then settle in for a champagne magnum cocktail dinner in front of the bluestone fireplace in the lounge. Enjoy a cocktail-style menu created by our talented team of chefs to accompany six champagne magnums presented by Tyson.

9:00AM – 11:00AM
You’ll have the option to join a guided walk, book a spa treatment or enjoy any of our other self-guided walks or activities. The guided walk will finish with a champagne morning tea, served with a breathtaking view from 1100m above sea level.
12:00PM – 1:30PM
Enjoy a casual champagne lunch at The Peak.
3:00PM – 4:30PM
Join Tyson for his museum prestige champagne masterclass. This will be the ultimate opportunity to discover six of champagne’s most lauded prestige cuvées in an interactive experience with one of the world’s foremost champagne authorities. Tyson Stelzer introduces a middle age and a mature vintage of Louis Roederer Cristal, Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires and Bollinger R.D. from the great vintages of 1988, 1996, 2007, 2008 and 2012.
6:00PM – LATE
The gala dinner is the grand finale of this exclusive weekend. Enjoy a twilight apéritif on the lawn before settling into a six-course degustation on the terrace. The menu highlights the very finest local and seasonal produce, created to complement eight incredible vintage champagnes, as well as red and dessert wines, all introduced by Tyson.
